This hose reel really works as designed, and it's attractive to boot. No more time consuming tasks of hauling and coiling hoses. Make sure you have the hose going through the hose guide hole (I missed this the first time and spent a little extra time assembling as a result). Very satisfied with the product.

The product works pretty good and recoils hands free. It is just a little slow on the recoil. Nice attractive teak wooden box that encases the hose.

Side yard looks much nicer with the 100' length of new 5/8" hose enclosed. Gearing and moving parts are plastic, thus some concern about potential longevity, otherwise would have assigned 5 stars. But unit does come with a 2-year warranty and genuinely works as advertised.

I use the hose every morning to water flower beds; only complaint is I have to assist the rewind if I have all 100' of hose deployed; also, if the hose is not laying straight in front of the cabinet when the rewind starts, then it does not level wind, causing the hose to bind inside the cabinet, leading to difficult deployment the next time the hose is used.
